Disclaimer – Chevrolet loaned us the car to drive for a week. All opinions and photos are my own.

Over a month ago we got to test drive the new 2020 Chevrolet Traverse AWD High Country a spacious, mid-size SUV, that was able to accommodate our family of five comfortably. The Chevy Traverse has three rows of seating. The one we had had captain seats, where we put the twins in their Britax car seats in, and Luke was able to easily walk to the third row, which he had all to himself.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we would drove around and explore Chicago as a way to get out of the house during the stay at home order since it was a way for us to social distance from others. So having the Chevy Traverse for a week was a great way for us to do our regular drives around town while checking out all the cool features of the SUV had to offer.
Charlie did most of the driving since he’s a big car fanatic and also loves Chevrolets. He thought the Chevy Traverse had a sleek and sport design, drove smoothly, easy to navigate, thoroughly enjoyed the camera and monitor. At first we thought the Chevy Traverse would be too big for our city garage but it fit perfectly. Charlie thought the cameras helped him with not only reversing out of our garage but with parallel parking in the city.

I loved all the details that Chevrolet thought of when designing the car, especially for a mom. It was easy to get the twins in and out of car, especially with captain seats. I don’t use my phone while driving but it was pretty cool to be able to charge my phone in the Chevy Traverse while driving. The cargo space was roomy enough to fit our Bugaboo double stroller and even had extra room for other things. Oh…and the secret compartment to keep your things concealed in the available storage space behind the infotainment screen. That is such a cool feature!
Some other interesting things about the Chevrolet Traverse that you should know about
- The Traverse offers technology to help keep you connected and safety for more confidence as you travel along.
- The second and third row seats fold completely flat for easy storing of large items.
- Convenient Smart Slide® second-row seat allows for easy access to the third row.
- Traverse provides seating for up to eight passengers – it is spacious enough to accommodate a big family yet doesn’t compromise on style.

Thank you Chevrolet for letting us test drive the Chevy Traverse around Chicago!! We loved it!
