Let’s Celebrate! Sweet November

Woodstock1

It’s mid November and I’m not wearing a down coat…yet! Thanks, El Nino! In fact, I just wore a sweater all day today. If only every November felt this sweet and warm.

We drove to Wisconsin this weekend to visit Charlie’s dad who lives near Lake Geneva. I noticed a bunch of hay rolls on a farm in  Woodstock, IL on our way there. So today, when we were heading back to Chicago, I had Charlie pull over for a few pictures.  Unfortunately, we were early for the golden hour so we took the pictures doing some bright light.

There’s something about getting outside of the city that is so refreshing. I love seeing the abundance of the Midwest farmland and always think it’s a perfect backdrop for pictures. Thanks to Charlie and Luke for being so patient and supportive of my photography vision.

Being petite and curvy, it’s very hard to find the perfect pair of jeans, especially when I still have a pouch to lose. But I found that  Gap Resolution True Skinny jeans fit me the best. The rise is not too high or low and there’s a good stretch around the waist making it easy to button. And!! I don’t have a muffin top when I’m wearing, which means I can wear them with fitted shirts without worrying about the dreaded fat that hangs over.  The other great thing about Gap jeans is that they won’t break the bank. I can normally find them for under $50 on sale.

I’ve been eyeing this Anthropologie Paned Sweater Tunic when I saw it in a a catalog. I ordered it at full price in a size M and found that it fit me perfectly. I’m currently into tunics as they are easy to pair with jeans and leggings.

Did I mention how warm it’s been lately? So warm that I’m wearing flats and not boots! I got these tasseled flats are from Sezane over a year ago. I discovered Sezane on Instgram (of course) and have been obsessed with everything Sezane. I’ve only worn these flats in the office as I wanted to break them in. Today was the first day they actually touched the ground.
