Last year we were told about this model train display at The Drake Hotel and that Luke would really enjoy it. So this year, after pictures with Santa at 900 North Michigan, we headed over to The Drake Hotel to see what this model train set was all about. The display is not that big, probably 10 ft by 15 ft, but Luke (and Charlie) were absolutely amazed by it. The train set displayed some of Chicago’s landmarks and is mostly made of gingerbread. The set was not yet completed during our visit as there was space left for contest winners. The staff at the hotel was nice to let us hang around the lobby and take pictures…and to let Luke watch the train go round and round and round….

I think this might be a part of our new tradition. Pictures with Santa at 900 North Michigan and then view the model train display at The Drake Hotel (and possibly a stop at the Chanel boutique)
