Back in October 2012, we went on our first family vacation to Maui. I wanted to wait until Luke was six months and figured he would be easier by then…I’m glad I did. Luke did a great job on our flights to and from Maui. He didn’t even cry on the plane, which very rare for Luke. We stayed at the The Grand Wailea using my Hilton hotel points and absolutely love the resort. Needless to say, we had a great time in Maui.

Before we went on our trip, a friend of mine, Thu (Tandem In Love) mentioned she was going to NYC for her first anniversary trip and they hired professional photographer to take some pictures of her and her husband. I thought it would be a great idea if we took family photos in Maui for our trip as well. Thanks for the great idea, Thu!

I searched for photographers in Maui and found Mariah Milan Photography. I loved all the images on her blog, and I loved how she captures the Hawaiian water and sunset.  I contacted her via email and put my trust in her since we never met. We met Mariah on Wailea Beach for a sunset photo shoot. Instantly I knew I would like her. She’s so nice and laid back. She was really good with Luke too!  Mariah is so talented! I’m so glad we decided to have our family photo session because I couldn’t ask for better pictures and memories.

So, if you are in Maui, I suggest you get family photos and I highly recommend Mariah Milan! A portion of session fee goes towards charity. Now that’s nice.
