Happy Valentine’s Day! In honor of this holiday, I wanted to share the color pink, specifically pink in Chicago. So…I published this post three days after Valentine’s Day so happy late Valentine’s Day. My goal was to get it out on the holiday but life got in the way.

This post is inspired by an Instagram account that I just started following – LondonIsPink. It’s amazing how Julie is able to find pink in London. Her pictures give me total wanderlust or the urge to book a trip to London and find all the pink goodness.

Although Chicago is not bustling with everything pink, I’ve been noticing some of the pink that has been popping up in the city, especially with pink murals, pink buildings, pink garages and pink homes in Chicago. So here’s a little list of pink that I’ve been seeing around the city. I hope this post starts a movement…more pink in Chicago!

Flamingo Mural at The Flamingo Rum Club

Location: 601 N. Wells (River North) // Artist: JCRiviera

This flamingo mural is on the Ohio side of the Flamingo Rum Club. The best time for pictures here is in the early morning.

#GBheart Heart Mural at Green Bean Day School

Location: 2114 N. Elston (Bucktown)

I think this is the cutest garage for a daycare / preschool center – Green Bean Day School. It’s also pretty Instagram famous in Chicago!

NiNi’s Deli Pink Building

Location: 543 N. Noble St.  (West Town)

We’ve taken several pictures in front of the pink wall at Nini’s Deli in West Town, most recently with my caftan and in our Chanel family costumes. Be sure to try out the empanadas while you’re there!

Pink 14′ Garage 

Location: Ada St. (Goose Island)

This 14′ foot garage is pretty famous. Luke and I took pictures here when on my 41st birthday just to play around the with numbers. You can find this garage a few streets from the Home Depot on North Avenue.

Pretty Cool Ice Cream

Location: 2353 N. California Ave. (Logan Square)

I haven’t been to Pretty Cream Ice Cream yet but I wanted to include it on this list because I love the pink exterior and to remind me to go here this summer and take a better picture.

Chicago Pink Houses

I’m still on the look out for pink houses in Chicago and so far I’ve found a few, including a house with a pink door! I’ll add more to this post as I find them. Wish me luck!
